FILM SUBMISSIONS

Submissions for the Toronto International Digital Video Festival 2000 will be accepted until midnight, October 27th, 2000 and must abide by the following:

  1. The entire film must have been initially captured on Digital Video. Films may be edited or posted on film stock but all capturing must have been done on Digital Video.

  2. All submissions must include a completely filled out copy of our submission form.
  3. Your film must be submitted in NTSC format on either a VHS, SVHS, or a DV tape. If you are chosen and wish to show your film on another media such as BETACAM, 16mm, or 35mm Film Stock, accommodations can be made.
  4. All submissions must be mailed to:

    Toronto International DV Festival
    c/o Emitting Media
130 Rosedale Valley Rd., Suite 602
    Toronto, Ontario, M4W 1P9
    CANADA

For foreign submissions, indicate "preview cassette, no commercial value" on the customs form to avoid having your tape held at customs.

All films submitted will be kept in our archives with the understanding that they will not be shown outside of the festival without the prior consent of the film's owner.

We at the Toronto International DV Festival understand what it is like to submit a film through the mail. To alleviate some of your concerns, we have provided an online submission notification form which you can fill out. If we do not receive your submission within 4 weeks, we will contact you to let you know that you might need to track the film down through the mail or resubmit it.

Be assured that by submitting your films to any other festival, you are not conflicting with the rules of our festival and your submissions will still be accepted.

We look forward to receiving your submissions.
